About IRAA
Persian art has never stayed in one place. It has travelled in suitcases and memories, carried across borders by people who had to leave, and kept alive in living rooms, community halls and studios far from where it began.
That is its strength. It is also its risk. Work made across the world scatters easily. A musician in Toronto, a filmmaker in Berlin, a ceramicist in Los Angeles, a painter still in Tehran, each doing remarkable work and each largely invisible to the others.
IRAA exists to close that distance.
Keeping a Culture Alive
The Iranian Artist Alliance is a worldwide alliance of Persian artists. We are building a living record of Iranian art and culture, a place where the people carrying this heritage forward can be found, followed and supported.
Not an archive of what was. A working directory of what is being made right now.
We give artists a home online. Every artist on IRAA gets a full profile: their story, their work, their links, their own visual identity. It is a page they can put on a business card and call their website, because it is.
We connect artists with audiences. Concert tickets, class bookings, commissions and original work. When someone books or buys, the artist is paid directly.
We keep the record. Every profile added makes the picture of contemporary Persian art a little more complete, across music, theatre and cinema, dance, painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry design and fashion design.
No Borders
Persian artists live everywhere now. So does this alliance. Wherever you make your work, Tehran or Toronto, Berlin or Los Angeles, you belong here on the same terms as everyone else.
IRAA is early. We are building carefully, artist by artist, because a directory is only as good as the people in it.
If you are a Persian artist anywhere in the world, there is a place for you here. Join us.
